The Masters Programme offers an exciting range of educational opportunities, with strengths in both the fundamental area of the discipline, and in significant new areas and applications. Graduate-level course work and research opportunities are available in physical, organic, inorganic, and analytical chemistry as well as in a substantial number of cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas such as material sciences, surface science, spectroscopy, magnetochemistry, and biological chemistry. Moreover, the department has an excellent array of equipments for research/ project works.
Chemical analysis is a common feature linking earth sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, environmental sciences, petrochemical industry, forensic sciences etc. An analytical chemist can help identify and solve problems in these varied areas of research. Against this backdrop and with the sole aim of moulding students with the requisite skill-set needed to be employable analysts; we offer MSc. Chemistry (Analytical) from June 2018. The course has been designed with special emphasis on developing research aptitude, providing a strong background in instrumental techniques and enhancing employability.
