From its inception in 1955, the department of Mathematics has been building careers for thousands of students. True to the motto, pivotal in cultivating Mathematics for applications in development of society, the department has been in the upfront to impart quality education in mathematics. At the Under Graduate level, it offers BSc Mathematics. The department has over 5000 books. Research being a priority, the department has a dedicated computer lab and publishes in journals of high impact value. Excellence in teaching, analytical skill development, experiential learning, seminars, and organising science competitions are the hallmarks of the department. Graduating students from the department are absorbed by premier institutions of higher education in India and abroad. Students of Mathematics have been excellent in extracurricular activities, social services and in sports.
