St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad (SXCA) recognizes that a college education is a significant investment for students and their families. As a non-profit institution, SXCA is committed to making quality education accessible and affordable by maintaining low fee structures and actively supporting students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.
The College strives to bridge social and economic gaps in education through a combination of government scholarships and financial aid provided by the Management. Our goal is to ensure that no deserving student is deprived of education due to financial constraints.
During the last academic year, financial aid amounting to over ₹4 lakh was disbursed to approximately 29 students. In addition to Management-funded financial aid, students can apply for a range of scholarships and freeships offered under state and central government schemes. These government scholarships are credited directly to the students’ bank accounts upon approval.
Every year, the College also offers Management scholarships and prizes to support students in need. These funds can help cover college tuition, textbooks, transportation (bus passes), mess bills, and hostel fees. Furthermore, several merit-based prizes have been instituted to recognize excellence in academics, sports, research, social service, and cultural activities.
SXCA actively facilitates student access to various government scholarships. For assistance, students may approach the designated office:
Students enrolled in Self-Financed Programmes:SF Office (Ground Floor, XICA Building)
Students enrolled in Grant-in-Aid Programmes:College Office (First Floor, Main College Building)
At SXCA, financial assistance is not viewed merely as an act of charity, but as a moral and educational responsibility. We are committed to ensuring that no student is denied the opportunity to learn and grow due to financial hardship.
