About Department

Languages connect communities and nations. The knowledge of languages apart from being a communication skill enables creations of books that speak volumes about a nation, a state and its people, culture, and history. The department facilitates and enthuses every student, who is interested in Gujarati language, culture and literature. The focus, the efforts, the faculty, the activities and culture of the department are oriented towards their students’ growth and well-being.

A curriculum in Hindi includes famous literary works of Shri Ramdarsh Mishra, Shri Raghuvir Chaudhury, and Shri Chinubhai Modi etc. The rapporteur of Hindi literature takes one through a journey of different times, the changes and the progress that India has made in all these years. Apart from the technicalities of the language, the students get to learn about traditions, cultures and heritages.
