The department of English offers an MA in English with focus on literature and admits 30 students. With the motto of envisioning an environment of critical thinking and articulate expression, the department is known for its quality teaching, and mentoring of weaker students to bring out their talents. Research is one of the strengths of the department. The library holds over 13000 books related to the subject. Students who graduate with English are absorbed by premier institutions of higher education in India as well as in major media houses.
