Established in 1957, the department of Sanskrit offers BA in Sanskrit and admits 30 students per annum. With the motto of experience the richness, depth, vastness and beauty of the language, the qualified faculty are known for excellent teaching, mentoring and social outreach. Research and experiential learning are the strengths of the department. The department has over 3500 books. Students who graduate with Sanskrit are employed by premier institutions of education in India. Students of Sanskrit have been excellent in extracurricular activities, social services and in sports.
