Established in 1961, the department of Statistics offers BSc in Statistics and admits 30 students per year. The department also offers a career oriented course in SPSS. True to the motto of the department, here collecting anlyzing and interpreting data is fun, the qualified faculty are known for excellent teaching, making learning easy and fun filled, mentoring and social outreach. Research is a priority and strength of the department. The department has over 2100 books. Students who graduate with Statistics are absorbed by premier institutions of education in India as well as in govt. services. Students of Statistics have been excellent in extracurricular activities, social services and in sports.
