St. Xavier’s College uses ICT effectively for teaching-learning as well as for administration. All classrooms, seminar halls, auditoriums, library and offices are Wi-Fi enabled and internet is made available to staff and students. LAN facility is also made available in seven classrooms and to some key offices. The classrooms, corridors and laboratories are all under CCTV surveillance and online monitoring is available through the College society office and the Vice Principal’s office SF.

ICT facilities for teaching-learning process

  • The LMS-Moodle is the main platform for e-learning. All instructional material, videos on YouTube channels of staff, assignments, quizzes and information is shared and conducted through the College Moodle platform.
  • Google classroom and video sharing through google drive is also done by faculty using the institutional email provided through G-suite account of the College
  • For classroom teaching laptops, LCD projectors, collar microphones and pen tablets are available in the college.
  • Smartboards, an audio-visual room with smart board, speakers and amplifiers and a state-of-art video conferencing facility are additional ICT facilities in the college.
  • A recording studio with all facilities is accessible to the staff through an MoU with GURJARVANI
  • Adequate computer laboratories and one computer cum language lab are accessible for the students
  • The software used by teachers include Python, SPSS and R

ICT facilities for administration

  • The College office, Self-financed office and examination office is well equipped with computers, printers, scanners and xerox machines
  • The movement of staff is monitored through the biometric system installed in the College
  • Bulk SMS services, institutional Email ID and department Email ID are also available for information sharing from the office
  • For accounting the software used is Tally and for all other administrative purposes ERP is used

ICT facilities in the library

  • The College library uses the Software for University Libraries (SOUL) and has INFLIBNET (N-list) subscription
  • The library has a computer centre so that students can access databases and NPTEL videos from the local server
  • Special software for visually challenged students is also available in the library.
