: The volunteers at NSS SXCA, took initiative to conduct a donation drive under the title- ‘Khushiyon Wali Diwali’ with the purpose of ensuring the joy of festivities to those in need and help children who are not as privileged as others.
The campaign began on 28th September and the students interested were asked to submit their clothes, shoes, books, etc at the NSS college office. Students were instructed to make sure that the items they wished to donate were in good and usable condition.
On receiving a jubilant response, the final dates for receiving the donations were extended till 10th of October.
The handover session was conducted at Aai Shree Khodiyar Maa Temple on 15th of October at 7.00 p.m. in the presence of the temple authorities and NSS coordinator, Dr Devang Pandya.
Volunteers expressed their feelings of contentment and gratitude at the end of the program. Undertaking this responsibility gave them a sense that their actions are consistent with their motto.
